read that!!!

yesterday there was sightseeing in sydney with emma (roommate from UK) on the schedule. of course we went to the opera house. that's not as impressive as it is per night but nevertheless i was pretty excited about the architecture both inside and outside- good work :)

and you know what.... inside the opera house we wanted to go the the shop but one security guy held us back with the reason somebody had to pass....ok...for we know that russel crow and tom cruise are suppossed to come for some memorial i became suspicious and then...actually tom cruise and katie holmes just came across
and honestly went up the stairs only 2 metres away. you know, usually you expect a huge crowd, cheering teenies, heaps of securities and fotographs and especially barriers, but there was only one security told us very calmly...that was soo funny because we looked at each other "has this just really happened??" that was cool! :) and he's so tinny especially with heavily pregnant katie holmes at his side- insane (hehe bruederlein, ich hab die suesse katie von gaaanz nah und ganz in echt gesehen) that was kind of a highlight on the day! at midday we walked through the botanical gardens still excited about the recent happening *smile*, very nice as well...finally green everywhere. but actually there are many parks in the city where the people are gravitated from the nature. pretty understandable because in sydney city there is really heaps and heaps of traffic running nearly 24 hours a day- indeed quite busy and hectic with all the public transport, cars and people running over the street when the traffic is kind of stopped for some seconds at the lights. we chose absolutely the perfect day, because we had just the best weather ever! therefore we decided to go to bondi beach- another must do in sydney. it's quite a nice beach and a cool esplanade with heaps of shops and restaurants. nevertheless it's pretty snobby, so there are no ballsports allowed at the beach, neither in the water- uhmm hello? so everything is only about wearing the best bikinis, the most expensive sunnies and just looking good at the beach- not the most exciting thing, especially for me, like wanting to get rid of all that energy and 'carpe diem'. i prefer manly beach, the same sand, nice water, good waves, i'm not surfing though :( (no gear and less money) and of course many beachvolleyball courts and many people keen on playing heaps of ball as well- paradise =) yesterday we concluded our sightseeing day with a long trip through the city with public transport back from bondi and then a photo shooting from the ferry with the typical photos from the opera house, the harbour bridge and the skyline. today i woke up and it was such a wonderful day again. actually i wanted to go for a run, but when i arrived at the beach i saw many people playing ball and so i cancelled running and joined the group- successfully! the winner always stayed at the court and i had a good day and had many games in a row- hehe ;) only from that playing i got so much tanned again, i was kind of shocked in the shower when i saw the new tan lines (?) from my bikini top-wow! but that's actually nothing new but only the fact that's snowing heaps in germany and it's pretty cold i thought i definitely have to mention that *laugh* sorry guys ;) in the evening i was finally out with some guys from the hostel and had a good party night again with lots of dancing and some drinks...wow it was ages ago that i've drunk alcohol *proud* the people in the hostel are quite nice as well, so i really do enjoy my time here in manly....not decided yet when we will leave. most likely i will drive up to byron bay and brisbane with jenna, the german girl i've firstly met in adelaide and cought up here in sydney again! sydney is so nice because it's situated quite perfect with all that bays and peninsulas...and everybody knows how nice the atmosphere is at the water, especially at night with all the lights and its reflections on the water surface ...it's good fun to ride all around the different harbours with the ferries and surround the city in a kind of way! so much to the nearly capital of australia!

more pictures coming soon...
