Merry Christmas

We did go to the Nürnberger Christkindlesmarket but I thought it might be worth it to go to a less commercial and touristy one, thus we went to Ansbach and enjoyed the less crowdy but very x-masy atmosphere with a couple of Glühwein :-P and nice food

for a traditional Günkel-Christmas, self-baked cookies must not miss. Karen liked that custom as well I guess :-P

the fact that we have REAL christmas trees was quite amusing for her too. The choosing and buying, setting-up and decorating was good fun =)

our very beautiful christmas-tree

as dumplings are very German, too, Karen had to learn how to prepare them- she did well :)

we had quite a special present for our parents and grandparents this year and, of course, we finished them JUST before the guest came. Karen was attending and watching everything very carefully and especially helping as well- thanks mate!

my grandparents, brothers and the rest of us

to complete the atmosphere on the 24th we sang some christmas songs :)

pressies for everybody

everybody's satisfied, food, drinks, pressies...

on the 25th we were celebrating with my Dad and his side of the family

Everytime Karen encountered another German culinary speciality she was documenting the different way of preparing and combining ingredients or just the totally different food

and somebody brought a keyboard, so I had to create reflective atmosphere by playing some songs AND by pushing the button for the beats and drums accidently every now and then ;) That's my granddad in the backround

the third day of celebrating was a bit more active as my sister with her kids came to our place. That's Max Kim growing faster than you can watch and smiling permanently, he is so cute. It was lovely to watch him running around and showing his teeth =)

everybody needs a break, so did Max Kim. Looks quite casual how he leans against mine and my brother's (Kim) legs. Pretty easy-going posture, isn't it ;)

and my beautiful godchild Leonie Anna

my brother Felix and his girlfriend Andi

A special photo-shooting in our home-town with ancient herilooms at special spots was our present...in the following you can see some of them

it doesn't happen too often that we three are at home at the same time. We all travel quite much so that was the perfect idea. The picture below shows where we all went to last year

in our garden in Schwanstetten in the right order, little princess as the tallest :)

What a nice Christmas this year :))) just the right thing that I needed before I leave again! It was awesome!
